Hong Kong | Hiking @ Dragon’s Back

January 19, 2017

In the past year or so, I've developed an interest in hiking. The popular Dragon’s Back (龍脊) is easily accessible by MTR & Bus that brings you directly to the foot of the hill. The trail is fairly moderate and offers spectacular views of the water, buildings and islands. There are some steep steps and no shade until the latter part of the trail. Since hiking is rising in popularity, it was quite crowded on the paths, but once you reach the top, it is so tranquil and relaxing that you forget you’re in Hong Kong.

Nothing like a cold drink & bowl of noodles after a long hike! Comes with a bowl of house-made plum sauce.

The total time spent was roughly 3 hours (including resting time – the walking time is probably only 1 hr). Afterwards we headed down to view the beach area before journeying back by minibus to Shau Kei Wan Station where we discovered amazing roast goose noodles @ Sun Kwong Roast Goose 新光燒鵝餐室. The owner lured us in with a promise of a free drink (that didn’t happen) but anyway, it was a really tasty treat to end a fun-filled day.
